TWIN XL is the creative brainchild of songwriters and producers Cameron Walker-Wright (vocals) and brothers Stephen Gomez (bass) and John Gomez (guitar). Walker-Wright is formerly part of the synth-pop band Nekokat and the Gomez brothers rose to international fame in The Summer Set.This Los Angeles-based rising alt-pop trio is RED MUSIC's latest signee, and made their first-ever headlining debut at The Troubadour at the end of April. Check out some the shots our kick ass photographer Larissa Raquel got when we attended their show! They were electric performers taking ownership of the stage, involving the crowd, and taking everyone in that room on a musical journey with them. Such a dope experience! In cruise collection ’19 featured in the shooting designer Elena Mamenko plays with volumes and shapes, making seemingly masculine cuts create utterly feminine silhouettes. The collection's palette and shapes are inspired by Rothko's paintings, which is both a reference and a gesture of appreciation.
However, it wasn’t only a lookbook that we worked on as a team, but our own abstract artworks made from the clothes we shot.
For this series we were inspired by things actually out in nature and what is actually natural. One thing we all agreed on that brings the most joy and happiness to our lives is the sun. The colors and the warmth it brings impact our lives every single day and we feel blessed to witness it. Through our styling, makeup, and lighting choices we tried to evoke all the different phases of the sun, whether that is the bright noon day, when it is blindly light, when it is warm oranges, the list could go on. This is an editorial series inspired by natural nature.
